We value the relationships among our team, our clients and our guests, so everyone feels cared for and respected.

The little things matter most

From the very first sip, small and thoughtful touches create the impressions that last.

Hospitality always

Every experience is delivered with intention, warmth, and the kind of hospitality people remember.

We do what we say

Integrity is at the heart of what we do. We deliver on our promises with consistency and reliability.

Make it happen

We don’t wait to be asked. We take the initiative, find a way through, and stand behind the result.

A crew that looks after its own.

A real team

Family first is a value we mean. You are part of a crew that knows your name and has your back.

Room to grow

Training, mentoring and a clear path. Plenty of our leads started on the cart or behind a bar.

Three ways to pour with us.

In-House Office Barista

Melbourne and Sydney

Run an in-house bar in a corporate workplace. Take orders, make the coffee and keep the station immaculate, and build the relationships with regulars that make you part of a team’s every morning.

  • Consistent schedules and stable hours in established office locations
  • Premium La Marzocco equipment and specialty coffee roasted in-house
  • Work autonomously, with dedicated account management behind you
  • Hospitality award rates, with opportunities for professional development

Event Driver Barista

  • Stocking, delivery, setup and pack-down of the carts on site
  • Work autonomously and as part of a crew
  • Hospitality award rates, with flexible hours

Event Barista

Melbourne and Sydney

Pour at conferences, activations and trade shows across the city with impeccable service every time. Fast, takeaway service, one size, no cash handling, so you can focus on the coffee and the guest.

  • Cafe-standard La Marzocco equipment and in-house roasted coffee
  • Travel across the city and see new places
  • No cash handling, no dine-in, one takeaway size for every drink
  • Hospitality award rates, with flexible hours

Real crew, real moments.

What people ask before they apply.

What does an in-house office barista do?
You take orders, make the coffee and look after employees in a corporate workplace, sometimes including food and catering as part of the in-house cafe. You also keep the station immaculate and build the relationships with regulars that make the bar part of a team’s day.
What does an event barista do?
You pour at corporate events across Melbourne or Sydney: taking orders, making drinks and looking after guests. Service is takeaway only, one size, with no cash handling and no dine-in, so the focus stays on the coffee and the person in front of you.
What does an event driver barista do?
Everything an event barista does, plus the stocking, delivery, setup and pack-down of the cart on site. It suits someone with an open licence who is comfortable with heavy lifting and likes seeing a job through end to end.
Are shifts on weekdays or weekends?
Mostly weekdays. Our corporate event work runs on the business calendar, so unlike a cafe there are only a small number of weekend days, with shifts available most days and occasionally public holidays. We typically shut down over the Christmas period.
What do barista jobs at Coffee on Cue pay?
Every role is paid in line with current hospitality award rates, so the hourly rate is guaranteed rather than negotiable downward. Full-time and part-time roles come with competitive salary packages.
Do you offer full-time, part-time or casual barista roles?
All three, depending on the position. We take a flexible approach: people start part-time and move to more hours, or start full-time and adjust. The event schedule is what makes that possible.
What if my availability changes?
Tell us. The event schedule changes week to week, which means it can usually work around your other commitments rather than the other way round. Plenty of the crew have built their week around study or a second job.
Which cities are you hiring baristas in?
Melbourne and Sydney. We have a base and a full barista crew in both, and roles come up across in-house workplace bars and event work in each city.
What does the hiring process look like?
An initial screening of your CV, then usually a phone interview followed by a video interview. For full-time roles there may be a second video or face-to-face interview. If you progress past screening we contact you by phone.
Do I need a CV and a cover letter?
A CV, yes. A cover letter is not required. Attach your CV to the application form on this page and that is everything we need to start.

Tell us a little about you.

A few minutes is all it takes. We read every application and reply to the ones that fit.
