What hiring a cart in Melbourne actually involves.

One all-inclusive price: cart, La Marzocco machines, baristas, specialty coffee, milks, every consumable, delivery, setup, pack-down and insurance. One-hour minimum, any day of the week.

Serving the Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs since 2013, with regional Victoria covered too. 15,000+ events and 2.5 million cups delivered company-wide.

Why coffee fails at events.

Unreliable caterers

You have booked a coffee vendor before. They showed up late, ran out of milk, and your guests noticed.

Forgettable coffee

Generic pod coffee or instant does not cut it. Your guests will remember the bad coffee long after the event.

Budget surprises

Hidden delivery fees, surcharges and "extras" that double the quote. You need a price you can actually sign off on.

From the CBD to the Peninsula.

Yarraville puts us a short run from the CBD, Docklands and the inner north, and within an easy drive of the wine regions and the bay. If your venue sits in any of these, we can get a cart to it.

  • Melbourne CBD and the inner suburbs
  • Geelong and the Bellarine
  • The Yarra Valley
  • The Mornington Peninsula
  • Ballarat, Bendigo and regional Victoria

Anything within 20km of Yarraville carries no travel charge at all. Past that, you see the travel at quote stage and not on the invoice afterwards. Peninsula and Yarra Valley bookings are common enough that we have the drive costed already.

All-inclusive, and genuinely so.

Every package is all-inclusive. No surprise fees, no separate equipment add-ons, and no travel charge within 20km of our Melbourne and Sydney bases. Service starts at a one-hour minimum. Weekend and Public Holiday events run at a published surcharge over the weekday rate, quoted up front.

The extras that make the day.

The cart and the coffee are the start. These are the pieces that turn a coffee station into the whole break, handled.

Pastries, sandwich platters and seasonal fruit, so the whole break is handled, not just the coffee.

  • We were fortunate to have the Coffee Cart team at our recent staff conference, and they were outstanding. The coffee was consistently excellent, and the team were friendly, professional, and efficient, keeping everyone caffeinated throughout the day. Their warm and positive attitude added to the overall atmosphere of the event, and many of our staff commented on both the quality of the coffee and the exceptional customer service. We would happily recommend them for conferences, corporate events, and functions, and look forward to working with them again in the future.

  • We hired Coffee on Cue Melbourne for a small corporate launch event. Everyone I dealt with whether on the phone, email or in person was really friendly and helpful! They organised all the necessary details prior and Aaron ran a professional and seamless service on the day from start to finish. We had a drinks package, parties and fruit and everything tasted great - would definitely recommend their work!

  • CoffeeOnCue has been our Universty's preferred coffee supplier. They are really easy to work with, have a wide range of products and services. The best part is, they have a great can-do attitude with logistics and they know exactly what to do on arrival.

  • We've worked with Coffee of Cue to deliver barista coffee to delegates at our events on several occasions and each time the booking process has been seamless; the team arrive on time and set up without any issues; the staff are friendly and provide great service all day. Pricing is comparable to what venues are offering in house. We look forward to continuing to work with Coffee on Cue.

What people in Melbourne ask.

Do you cover events outside central Melbourne?
Yes. From our Yarraville base we cover the Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, the Yarra Valley and the Mornington Peninsula, and we travel to regional Victoria. There is no travel charge within 20km of our base; beyond that, travel is quoted openly before you book.
How many coffees can a cart make at a Melbourne event?
One barista serves up to 80 coffees an hour, and a second barista doubles that to 160. Past that we bring a second cart. Over-driving one machine is how the coffee gets worse exactly when the most people are watching.
How far in advance should I book a coffee cart in Melbourne?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most events. Melbourne peaks between September and November with corporate event season, and Fridays and end-of-year dates go first, so book earlier if your date is fixed.
Do you have public liability insurance for Melbourne venues?
Yes. $20 million public liability, Food Safety Supervisor certification and workers compensation. Certificates go across on request, and for recurring venues we have usually lodged ours already.
What happens if the venue has no power where we want the cart?
Tell us at enquiry rather than on the day. We need one standard 15 amp outlet within reach, and we bring our own water so plumbing is never the issue. Warehouse and garden venues around Melbourne are the usual problem, and there is almost always a workable position or a generator answer.

We make it right. No fine print, ever.

If our service ever falls short of what we promised, we make it right. That is the whole guarantee, and we have not needed the fine print in thirteen years.
