Privacy policy
Coffee on Cue Pty Ltd respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect your personal information, and how you can access it, correct it, or make a complaint. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Our commitment
Coffee on Cue Pty Ltd is committed to protecting the privacy of the people we work with: the clients, guests, event organisers and job applicants who share information with us. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles.
By using our website, enquiring about our services or applying for a role with us, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this policy.
What personal information we collect
We collect the personal information we need to respond to you and deliver our services. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include your name, business or organisation, job title, email address, phone number, and the details of your workplace or event.
If you apply for a role with us, we collect the information in your application, including your resume, work history, references and eligibility to work in Australia. In our workplace barista service, we may process anonymous or aggregated point-of-sale and consumption data for reporting, and where staff co-payments apply, limited transaction data.
When you visit our website or enquire through it, we also record how you found us: the campaign or source of your first visit, and, if you arrived by clicking an ad, the click identifier the ad platform added to the link (for example a Google or Meta click ID) and the time of the click. These are stored with your enquiry in our customer records.
We do not seek to collect sensitive information unless it is necessary and you have consented, or the law allows it.
How we collect your information
We usually collect personal information directly from you: through our enquiry and application forms, by email or phone, and in the course of providing our services. Where it is reasonable and practicable, we collect it from you rather than from someone else.
When you visit our website, our hosting and analytics providers automatically record limited technical information, such as your device and browser type, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit, for security and to understand how the site is used. Our advertising partners (Google, Meta and LinkedIn) also collect information through cookies and similar technologies on our site to measure the results of our ads. Our cookies page explains each one and how to turn them off.
We sometimes collect business contact details, such as a name, work email address, job title and employer, from third-party business information sources (including services like Apollo.io and LinkedIn) and from information you or your employer have made publicly available. We do this to identify and contact people at organisations who may be interested in our workplace and event coffee services. When we contact you this way for the first time, we identify ourselves, explain that the message relates to your role, and give you a simple way to opt out of further contact.
Why we collect and use your information
We use personal information to respond to your enquiry and provide a quote; to deliver, manage and improve our workplace and event coffee services; to communicate with you about your booking or engagement; to assess and manage job applications; to meet our legal, insurance and safety obligations; to measure which of our ads and campaigns lead to enquiries and bookings, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested in them; and, where you have opted in, to send you occasional updates about our services. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
If you do not give us your contact details, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote or provide our services.
Disclosure of your information
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it to trusted service providers who help us operate, such as website hosting, customer-relationship and email tools, payment and point-of-sale providers, and workflow automation; to a client or venue where this is needed to deliver an event or workplace service; to our advertising and measurement partners, as described below; and where we are required or authorised to do so by law.
Advertising and measurement. When you enquire or become a client, we may share your email address and phone number with Google, Meta and LinkedIn in hashed form, together with the ad click identifier described above. Hashing turns each detail into a one-way code (SHA-256) before it leaves our systems. The platforms compare these codes with their own users so that we can measure which ads led to enquiries and bookings, and so that our ads reach people likely to be interested. They do not use this to send you anything from us.
Where we share information with a service provider or partner, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers and advertising partners store or process data outside Australia, most commonly in the United States. This includes our customer-relationship system, our website analytics, and the Google, Meta and LinkedIn advertising platforms. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to measure how it is used and to measure the results of our advertising. Our cookies page lists them and has a control to turn analytics and marketing cookies off at any time. You can also disable cookies in your browser.
Turning cookies off stops the tracking on our website. It does not change what happens with details you have already given us in an enquiry. To stop us using your contact details for advertising measurement, email us using the details below and we will unsubscribe you from all our email, which also removes you from the uploads to our advertising partners. We will action your request within 5 business days.
How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include access controls, secure password-protected systems, and restricting access to those who need it to do their job.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, and we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it when it is no longer needed.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. We will respond within a reasonable time. In the limited cases where we cannot give access or make a correction, we will explain why.
To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Job applicants
If you apply for a role, we use your information to assess your application and, if you are successful, for onboarding. We keep applications for a reasonable period in case a suitable role arises, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Making a complaint
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below so we can look into it. We will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always available on this page.
