Joey's Journey

Joey’s Coffee On Cue story began in 2014, joining casually as an event barista while chasing a career in audio. But his curiosity for coffee—and for building something meaningful—quickly took hold.

From barista to driver-barista, and later Operations Manager in Victoria, he helped scale the Melbourne team, build the Showcase retail concept, and grow the event business.

After a brief overseas stint, Joey returned with fresh perspective, relocating to Sydney in 2018 to spearhead Coffee On Cue’s expansion into New South Wales.

In 2022, he was appointed General Manager—overseeing marketing, operations, and the coffee program—integrating every department into one cohesive engine.

Today, Joey is the mind behind Coffee On Cue’s digital heartbeat. Every automation, system, and customer-facing platform carries his blueprint—often unseen, but always felt.

He’s passionate about using technology and AI to remove friction, buy back time, and elevate the everyday for both customers and staff. With a sharp focus on journey design, he’s constantly breaking down barriers to ensure every touchpoint feels simple, intuitive, and thoroughly human.
